Grip Star partners with elite football school

One of the Gold Coast’s most respected sporting high schools is giving its players the performance edge with Grip Star socks.

Grip Star Socks has signed up as a Gold PBC Alliance Partner supporting Palm Beach Currumbin State High Soccer Sports Excellence students for the 2021 season.

The school is one of only two high schools on the Gold Coast that participate in the elite Queensland Schools Premier League competition, featuring both male and female players across four age groups.

The partnership means every soccer player at the school will receive a free pair of Grip Star’s high-performance sports socks to boost their game on the pitch by increasing their grip, speed and agility.

Palm Beach Currumbin State High School, nicknamed the Reds, boasts a long history of supporting athletic excellence in other sports since its founding.

As such, Grip Star is also providing socks to the school’s senior Aussie Rules and Rugby League teams as they battle Queensland’s best in their respective codes.

The partnership with the PBC Alliance is just another way Grip Star Socks is giving back to the community and helping to foster rising sports stars.

Grip Star Socks Director, Joel Mulvenney, is an alumnus of Palm Beach Currumbin State High School and said he was delighted to now give something back.

“The school holds a special place in my heart. I played soccer for the school and have many great memories of not just the wins but being part of a great environment there,” he said.

Senior Soccer Coach, Shane Robinson, expressed his delight that is players of all ages can continue their development in Grip Star’s renowned high-performance socks.

“We are so grateful to have Grip Star Socks supporting our Sports Excellence Program at Palm Beach Currumbin State High School,” he said. “It’s fantastic to see an ex-Red in Joel giving back to the program.”
